Okay, so I go get my nails done about every week, and generally go to different places. I'm a waitress, so I'm used to tipping others well. However, when I tip my nail people they never seem grateful and generally seen disappointed. Am I not tipping enough?
Example: Yesterday, I got a normal manicure, $15 and tipped $5.
Generally I get french tips, and it costs $30, so I tip $8.
Is this not enough?Tipping Nail Technicians?
Okay by most standards you are overtipping.
I tip about the same as you and sometimes (it depends on the salon) the people seem so ungrateful.
So i just dont go to them anymore
Its so frustrating when they dont even acknowledge that im putting a tip on their table. I feel like they will talk about me the second i walk out of the salon.
That isnt the experience i want when im paying 30 dollars or sometimes more to get my nails done.
Best bet is to try a few salons like youre doing and keep going back to the good ones (that means quality and customer service )Tipping Nail Technicians?
i honestly think u r overtipping. i've seen people tip way less. if they seem like they are not happy, too bad for them. they should be lucky they are getting a tip, i'm more than sure that there are some people that don't even tip.
